                 Melvin Derwis 

                  Melvin Derwis (1916-2000) was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and lived in Cleveland, Ohio.  He studied art at the Cleveland Institute of Art

                  and worked as a technical illustrator for NASA.  His paintings explored many different styles and techniques.
